5/20/2020 Two overflowing dams — Edenville and Sanford — in the center of Michigan's Lower Peninsula amid days of rain has forced the evacuation of about 10,000 and caused massive flooding, which the governor said could put Midland under 9 feet of water. "Move to higher ground now," the National Weather Service in White Lake stated early Wednesday in a flash flood warning for residents downstream of the two dams.
"This is an extremely dangerous and life-threatening situation."
