City of Detroit clearing homeless encampment for Hart Plaza renovations on Monday 4/26/2021
FDDR visits the ones in need there 6 days a week, Monday-Saturday. We try to help them with much needed items. These people need so much support and thank to You our extended Family we are able to help them. We will continue to help them and try to keep our support for them going.
After a Hart Plaza sweep in 2019 that started with no warning and ended in people’s property being taken and thrown away, the city created a rule which said the city is “not to remove people’s personal items.” This time, people in shelter and homeless support agencies received a week’s notice.
Will the City keep their promises now?
We pray for all and will try to help them as much as we can.
